My name is Daphne and I am a University of Exeter graduate who is currently living in Madrid, Spain.

This blog started when I was 20, while completing my bachelors degree. As I studied Spanish and History,  I spent my year abroad on the island of Ibiza. I worked with the British Council as an English Language Teaching Assistant in a primary school and loved every minute of it.

Recording experiences through a blog was popular among year abroaders so I thought I would give it a go…plus it was a good incentive to keep track of what I got up to during my time in España.

Post-degree, after falling head over heels in love with the south of Spain, I moved to Malaga. Fast forward and I am currently in Madrid, working as a primary school teacher.

I’m obsessed with Spain (above all, Andalusia) and I love blogging about my experiences with the language, lifestyle and culture.
