This route is found in the hills of the Axarquía, near the white town Riogordo.
The name Los Tajos is the Spanish word for the steep mountain cliffs; the destination of the route.
Despite a marked starting point, the route is not very well signposted and we were forced to go off trail to reach the tajos.
Aside from the loose rocks and thick undergrowth, the walk was stunning – and surprisingly green for Andalucía.
The route was about 10km in total. The lack of a clear trail means it’s not the easiest so be prepared for an adventure!
