One of the most special things Ibiza has to offer is its’ sunsets. Watching the sun disappear over the island’s distinct landscape is magical and with so many different puntas and calas (coves), each view is unique. Also, unlike the heat, a sunset, or puesta del sol, is not only restricted to the summer months and can be enjoyed all year round. The best place to appreciate the sunsets is from the pricey villas perfectly positioned on the cliffs to the west of the island. These luxurious abodes, scattered all over the Ibiza’s coastline, are lucky enough to enjoy the magnificent view daily. (Despite many of them being left deserted during the winter months.) Sadly, I’m not fortunate enough to be able to watch the sun set every day but I have taken a few trips out of the city to catch this special moment. Here are a some photos of the ones I have glimpsed so far….
N.B: No picture can really do these moments justice. Like the nature on this island, a sunset is not only a view but an experience in itself. Bring on many more magical dusks.
