Last week, Erin and I decided to make the most of our free time and the sunshine and head down to Ses Salines. Only 20 minutes by car from Ibiza are the the islands salt fields where white crystals are distilled from shallow sea water plains. Behind this rather industrial area is a beautiful wide beach, Salines (named after salt; sal) and a nature reserve. Rather than sit on the sand, we decided to be active and explore surrounding area. Although the walk was tiring, and pretty precarious in places, it was definitely worth it as the views from the top of the hills were breath taking. With steep drops down to the ocean, you didn’t want to stand too close to the edge!
